After spending many many evenings searching the net, I found the absolutely ideal place for our Summer holidays:
A beautiful Finnish log cabin solitarily situated on a 25 hectare island right in the middle of a crystal-clear lake teaming with trout, pike, perch and whitefish. Totally idyllic!
The property also includes a sauna, as well as an additional cabin where you can smoke the fish you catch. It can really only be reached by boat (which you can rent for an additional €50/week).
I imagined my darling family would cry of joy when I presented them with such a cunning plan: no stress, no cars, no people, no pollution; just us vs. nature..
Ha! You bet!
We booked yesterday..
You have to understand: there wouldn’t have been anywhere for the girls to plug in their hair irons..

I´ve wanted to make a whisky destillery tour thrtough Scottland. My spouse wanded sun and sand …. we where twice in Cuba but never in Scottland
