Considering that Biel is one of the few towns where the population of foreigners and swiss are almost 50/50 it's the best proof that we CAN live side by side,not to mention the bilingual aspect! ! I 'worry ' more about our towns ugly architecture,whilst the old town is really quaint and lovely the newer parts are an ugly mix and match............ And whilst I am actually standing on my sopabox, I would like to point out that we appointed the first black and foreign ( i.e. not native swiss) councillors for the city's council and into other dignified political or other jobs as well as in national votes we are always voting very foreigner friendly.
