Received the following mail from a German colleague today:
Hallo Mark,
da ***** in Urlaub ist, leite ich das Mail an dich weiter. Ich bin jetzt nur nicht mehr sicher, ob du es in Deutsch verstehst. Falls nicht, laß es mich wissen, dann übersetze ich es.
In English:
Hi Mark,
as ***** is on holiday, I’m forwarding you this mail. I’m not too sure if you understand it in German. If that’s not the case, let me know and I’ll translate it for you.
Errm: so if I don’t understand what you wrote, I should inform you, right?
As I said: a perfect Catch-22!

ROFLAMO and in his well meaning way he even won’t get the joke I presume:)
Most German are known to be Aryan-descended. A tipical Aryan has got blonde hair. Your friend is German, isn’t he?

May I now add that my colleague is….female and, yes, she IS blonde.
Are you sure she is a female? She is an IT-worker!! No women in her right mind would join the IT business!

meine frau arbeitet in der it branche. und sie ist “in her right mind”. ich meine: hätte sie mich sonst geheiratet ?
