No surcharges, an uneventful flight and an equally uneventful drive later, we’re here!

Calpe is as ugly has I remembered it from the last time we were here: a long coastline overbuilt with hotels and apartment blocks.

But hey: the beaches look pretty empty and we’re definitely NOT here for the view, even if I am pretty thrilled by the one from our balcony:

Time to start “chillin’”!

Just looked up the price of excess luggage as charged by Ryanair: €15 per bl**dy kilo!!!

Luckily I was able to add an extra suitcase to our online booking (for a modest €20), upping our total allowance to a whopping 15 kilos per person (that IS 15 kilos per person, mind you; not 45 kilos for the entire family).

But judging by the amount of stuff that still absolutely has to be taken along, I’m wondering if it really will be enough..

Thank god I booked a station wagon at our destination!!!!
